Although our establishment is relatively young, history has already been written. After the founding stone was laid in 2003 in front of around 600 invited guests, the hotel opened its doors for the first time on 1 September 2005. Since 1 February 2022, Hotel Kö59 has been welcoming private and business travellers as part of the Hommage Luxury Hotels Collection, and is continually among the top addresses in Düsseldorf. We have since welcomed well-known guests such as Max Giesinger and global stars like Kylie Minogue.

What’s more, there is an anecdote behind the name of Düsseldorf’s best-known street that we have to share with you. The former ‘Kastanienallee’ was renamed ‘Königsallee’ in 1851 to win back the favour of King Frederick William IV of Prussia. Because a few years before, something outrageous happened to him: on the way to Schloss Jägerhof, he was pelted with horse dung.
